From the Website: Hockey Gear Reveiw

The Combat 52 Cal Gloves are gloves made by a name that is famous in the hockey glove world. Michel Ferland designed these gloves for Combat and it was a smart thing. Ferland is a well-known name who designed and created Ferland gloves that were worn by many NHL players in the 80′s and 90′s. And these gloves are being worn by Jaromir Jagr now.

Pros:

  • Light weight
  • Extremely comfortable
  • Extra padding on the inside for a more comfortable fit
  • Plastic inserts for added protection
  • Mesh gussets for more airflow in the fingers
  • Game ready

Cons:

  • Lack of lock thumb
  • Nylon outer can wear out quicker

The Combat 52 Caliber glove is a very comfortable glove. Coming in at $149.99, it is a very affordable glove that hits most of what you would be looking for. I have listed the lack of a proper lock thumb because I think that it is very important. It does have plastic inserts for protection and the construction overall is good. The biggest plus is that there is padding on the inside for the gloves. It felt more comfortable against the back of my hand and knuckles.
Hockey Gear Review recommends the Combat 52 Caliber Pro 4-Roll Hockey Gloves to recreational to intermediate players.
