Fruits, particularly apples and blueberries, have been linked to a
decreased risk in Type II diabetes, according to a new study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
Researchers looked at the diets of more than 200,000 people and found
that those who ate the most blueberries had a 23 percent lower risk
compared to non-blueberry eaters. They also found that people who ate
five or more apples per week also had a 23 percent lower risk compared
to non-apple eaters.
