Mental toughness secrets of the world class

I recently interviewed Steve Siebold, author of the
international best-seller "177 Mental Toughness Secrets of
The World Class," as a guest on the Sports Psychology
Podcast.

Steve is a former professional athlete. He has studied
mental toughness to help him figure out why on some days he
could beat the world's best players, and on other days he
would lose miserably. I asked him to apply his mental
toughness secrets to athletes.

One of his mental toughness principles is this: "Champions
have an inner arrogance, world class athletes have supreme
confidence, and world class athletes have a higher belief
system," Steve says.

He believes that what you put in your mind or what you say
to yourself can influence your confidence greatly. “What
you say to yourself before, during, and after the game, the
play, or the shot, and what you’re saying to yourself
during practice develops confidence."

Here’s your tip for today... Talk to yourself like a
champion does. "Talk to yourself like a world class athlete
would because we start to believe whatever we have been
told," says Siebold.

Do you talk to yourself like a world class athlete? Learn
how by listening to the interview with Steve Siebold.
